We work collaboratively within the community, supporting each other to extend our children\u2019s learning and to show consistency between home and our Centre.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our modern purpose-built Centre is well maintained and resourced, with equipment to inspire inquisitive minds and provide physical challenges for children of all ages, in both our indoor and outdoor environments.<\/span><\/p>\n

With natural grass play areas, for both our under and over 2\u2019s, our children have plenty of space to explore nature in a safe environment.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our babies can feel the texture of fresh grass between their toes and discover little garden friends, with teachers alongside, and our over 2’s have plenty of space to run, jump and play, all in a natural setting.  Outdoor exploration such as planting and bug hunts, encourage their curiosity and learning, and well as being loads of fun!<\/p>\n

We have 2 separate rooms, catering to each age and stage of play and development. We have the\u00a0M\u0101t\u0101mua\u00a0Room for our 2-5 year old’s, and the\u00a0P\u014dtiki\u00a0Room for our under 2’s.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

The New Zealand Early Childhood Curriculum, Te Whariki, is the basis of our Centre curriculum, and so all aspects of our teaching-learning practices are guided by its four broad principles namely: Empowerment; Holistic Development; Family and Community; and Relationships.\u00a0<\/p>

We deliver a curriculum that empowers young children to be confident and competent learners. The framework for this curriculum is set out in Te Whariki. They are based on the principles, strands, goals and learning outcomes. Our teachers take into account the interests, strengths and needs of the individual child\u00a0 and the aspirations of parents, whanau and community.<\/p>

Te Whariki supports every child to be strong in his identity, language and culture.<\/p>

Children learn a huge amount in the first years of their lives. Participating in quality early childhood education strengthens this early learning and lays a strong foundation for later success.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
